“I’m scared”: Delivery Hero founder Nikita Fahrenholz is now CEO of his startup Fahrengold

Why Nikita Fahrenholz is taking risks right now and what that has to do with his passion for cars.
Nikita Fahrenholz, known as the co-founder of Delivery Hero, is taking a new step in his entrepreneurial career: As of July 1, he has been CEO and sole managing director of Fahrengold, a provider of luxury garage solutions for car enthusiasts – which he founded himself. Previously, he had remained "in the background," but now he is assuming operational responsibility.
"I'm scared," Fahrenholz admits in a LinkedIn post . After founding three companies, he's aware of the risks – but his passion for cars and design outweighs them. "I'm a car nerd. I don't love garages – who does, anyway? I love cars, design, and architecture."
Instead of accepting a secure, well-paid offer from a leading investor or becoming an investor, he consciously chose Fahrengold.
His conviction: "I believe that with FG ("Fahrengold" editor's note) we can build a trillion-dollar company." According to Fahrenholz, the company understands the market and the needs of its customers precisely – and has a product pipeline that appeals to millions of potential buyers worldwide, even in a niche market.
In addition to the business itself, he is particularly enthusiastic about the unique clientele: "Our customers are an exciting target group. The work environment is a mix of a corrugated iron hall and Molsheim Castle (Bugatti's HQ). The network I'm building for myself is enormous."
Previously, top manager Philipp Raddatz was CEO of the company, joining in November 2024.
